Enrique Ruiz & Associates, P.S.C. (ERA) is an engineering and architectural firm based in San Juan, Puerto Rico established in 1972. Our experience is based on the planning, design, inspection, construction, and energy management of a wide variety of projects throughout Puerto Rico. Our team is prepared to help our clients meet their goals while managing efficiently the development of their projects. We ensure compliance with all current federal and local construction laws, codes, and regulations. ERA is a certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and participated in the US Small Business 8(a) Business Development Program. The firm’s President engineer, Enrique Ruiz, has been working for over 40 years in the construction industry, with a successful experience in planning, design, and overall management of multiple construction projects. Engineer Ruiz is a Licensed Professional Engineer and a Licensed Planner with extensive knowledge of local codes, laws, permits, construction materials and practices. He has furthered his education with courses in construction management, value engineering, and a variety of other technical aspects of the engineering profession.
Engineer Enrique Ruiz is a leader among professionals in the industry: he is a former President of the Panamerican Union of Engineering Associations (UPADI), former President of the Puerto Rico College of Engineers and Surveyors (CIAPR), former President of the Puerto Rico Society of Professional Engineers, and former Vice-President of Finance for the Iberoamerican Federation of Civil Engineers.

Carlos M. Adorno Bonilla, PhD, PE, is responsible for the overall execution of the project team. Engineer Adorno is a licensed professional engineer with a doctoral degree in Structural Engineering with knowledge of federal and local codes, laws, permits, construction materials and practices. He has over ten years of experience working with a wide range of projects that include bridges, roads, housing, sports facilities, airport facilities, and others. MARANGELI RUIZ
Marangeli Ruiz Del Valle, who has over 25 years of experience, is responsible for the efficient utilization of resources and contract management at the firm. Engineer Ruiz gained experience with the Puerto Rico permits logistics and regulations while working at Administration of Permits (ARPE). She also worked for Johnson & Johnson’s Ethicon, LLC, as Engineering Manager and Business Unit Manager where she was responsible for project management, process improvements projects, equipment maintenance program,
product transfers and the introduction of new products. She currently focuses in the company's systems including Project Management, Human Resources and Finance and Contract Management.
